MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! Here are the details for our Virtual Crop & Card Challenges starting Wednesday, April 1! (No fool!) If you have never participated in a VC, try it, you'll like it! Basically, it is just an online crop where we are all scrappin' and card makin' throughout April 1-6, sharing, learning, inspiring, motivating and having fun! NOW, in addition to the scrapping, Trudi is co-hosting with CARD CHALLENGES! So now you can make both!!! Get your trimmers and paper ready everyone!!!
When:
Start: Wednesday, April 1, at 6:00 am.
End: ALL challenges must be posted by Monday, April 6, at midnight.

April Virtual Crop

Friday, April 4th at 8:00am until Sunday, April 13th at 11:59pm
Get ready for some radical new details!!
No Crowns!
You will still be earning points, however it is not the TOTAL points that will determine the Crop Queen! The more points you earn, the more entries you will gain into a random drawing. TWO [different] names will be drawn to determine the prize winners. These two scrappers will the Crop Queens of the April Virtual Crop!
3 Layouts Per Challenge!
Just like the February VC, this time around you may complete (and count points for) up to 3 layouts for any one challenge. However, each single layout can only be counted toward one challenge for points. That is, once the LO has been posted for a particular challenge, it cannot be applied to any other challenges even though it might fulfill the subsequent challenge.
Challenge Threads!
Just like the February VC, each challenge will have it's own thread for you to upload your layout(s). Unlike the February VC, you will have the entire VC to complete each challenge.
Point System
For every 10 (ten) points you earn, you will earn 1 (one) entry into a random drawing to be done at the end of the VC for a prize and title of Crop Queen. Two winners will be drawn. Points will not be rounded up (eg. If you have 19 points, you only get one entry into the drawing, so you'd better quick finish another project before the end of the VC to bump you up over 20 and get a second entry!)
Only layouts/cards/projects started and completed during the VC count toward points. Layouts may be digital. Challenge LOs may be digital unless the challenge is a specific non-digital technique.
**VC hostess will be monitoring points and in the case of an error/miscalculation, without notice may edit an individual's calculated points to be in accordance these posted rules**

Non-Challenge Layouts
Complete & post an 8x8 or larger LO: 2 points

**"Blank" means a LO made with the intent to add photos to it later. Eg, Circle Journal, Gift Album**

Projects/Altered Items
Complete & post a picture of your altered item, craft project, handmade gift, mini-album, etc etc: 2 points
**Use your best judgment on defining an "altered item". eg. A set of small items, like coasters/tags, should count as just one item. Points may be edited at the discretion of the VC hostess**
Make & Takes
Complete & post a Make & Take: 5 points
Bonus Points
Be on alert for other ways to earn bonus points during the VC!!!

Virtual Card Crop
The card VC will begin Friday at midnight (or earlier, as soon as I start posting challenges you can start doing the challenges). It will end on Monday, Feb. 25 at midnight. All challenges will be due by midnight monday, Feb. 25.

Chats are worth 2 points each
POINTS
You can sign up for the VC & keep track of your points in the points thread.
For every challenge completed AND posted you will get 5 points. You can do one challenge as many times as you want but you can only receive challenge points once for each challenge. Non challenge cards completed AND posted are worth 2 points.

At the end of the crop I will check over everyones points and the one with the most points will be crowned CARD QUEEN. I will also draw a name (card queen will be excluded) for a prize. For every challenge you complete, you'll get an entry for the drawing. If you complete all the challenges, you will get another entry for the drawing.
There might be a project to go along with the card vc so keep a watch out for that. It'll be worth some points too!

February Virtual Crop
Announcing: Wisconsin Scrappers February VC is officially under way. Why now? Did you find the surprise? Then you have a head-start!!! Pretty sneaky, eh?
Again, we have a new format this time.
Daily Challenges: for completion and posting on the corresponding thread you will get 10 pts. You have 24 hours to complete the challenge and get it posted unless otherwise stated in the challenge thread.
Chats:
For inspiration, getting to know each other better, etc...let's chat every night, starting at 9pm on the week nights. No points to chat...just fun and laughs this time!
Bonus points:
Stay tuned and watch the VC threads, you'll never know when a challenge could appear.

What's up
Just a quick update, changes are being made to the web site. This blog was only to be temporary during the holidays and while changes are being made. I can't wait for you to see the new site.
Right now voting is going on for the January layout contest. Go on in and vote for your favorite.

January Virtual Crop
Here are some details for the virtual crop that starts on Friday. The chat schedule will be updated as we get closer to the crop.
When:
Starts Friday January 11th at 12:00 Noon and ends Friday January 18th at midnight.
The Rules:
The virtual Crop will start out with 10 challenges. Every day two new challenges will be posted in the Challenge Thread so that there is one place to find all the challenges!
*Each challenge requires a full sized layout to be completed unless otherwise stated. That means 8x8, 8 ½ x 11, 9 x 9, or 12 x 12 layout. Some challenge may include cards, but unless otherwise stated you must create a layout to meet the challenge. Read all instructions and challenges very carefully
*Full size completed layouts without challenges count towards points as well.
*A completed layout means that you start and finish your layout during the virtual crop. And that includes Pictures on the layout. No blank layouts allowed during this virtual crop.
*Digital layouts WILL be accepted except where the challenge calls for something that can't be done digitally {e.g. supply & technique challenges}.
*Challenges can not be combined.
*All challenge layouts must be posted in the layout thread no later than 11:59pm on January 18th to qualify for points.
*Unless otherwise stated, challenge layouts may be single or double page layouts. *There will be a few challenges that require a double page layout, but a majority of challenges will leave that up to you.
*You must keep track of your points in the point total thread and your challenges must be tallied in date order.

July 07 - Scrapathon
You are invited to join us for a Summer Scrapathon!
It will start on July 16th and run through August 31st.
This will be different than any other virtual crop we have done here on Wisconsin Scrappers. So keep your eyes open for more information, stock up on your favorite adhesive, start getting your pictures developed and most importantly start getting excited!

February 07- January Virtual Crop - Big Success
Thank you to everyone who participated in the January Virtual Crop. It was a very big success. Points winners are 1st—Kim B. 2nd - Kathy A. 3rd—Angi K. Layouts were flying and rooms were getting organized and I am happy to say that I actually accomplished 25 pages and my room is organized (and still that way I might add).
Be sure to join us for our next Virtual Crop in February 2nd—February 9th. Tamara is going to host this one so be sure to check the message boards for your challenges and where to post. A special thank you goes out to Kate R. for hosting the Virtual Crop in January. It takes a lot of work to host one and she did a great job.
